Looking back at our winter, hibernation was the last thing on our mind!
! It was filled with a lot of “fun” stuff like process development, software upgrades, installation and training on new equipment, implementing LEAN production systems and goal setting for everyone on the team; all while keeping production running and playing catch up from a record year.
With the addition of some new team members, lead-times are getting back into a more reasonable 4-6 week turnaround for large projects. Smaller projects are usually only a few days out and some are even completed the same-day.
Next week we’ll be in Las Vegas for the International Sign Association’s annual sign show. This is a 3-day event held at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Convention Center. For sign tradesmen (and tradeswomen) this is like 3 days of Christmas, and typically ends up costing Pro Image Design a lot of money in new equipment, software and sign fabrication materials. Last year we purchased a new 10’ power shear and 10’ CNC metal folding machine at the show. This year we are looking at new printing technology, outdoor digital LED displays for wayfinding and quick serve restaurants, along with anything new that sparks our interest. One thing is for certain… there are a lot of shiny objects that really test my already challenged attention skills.:)
We have a lot of great things in the works here at Pro Image Design, and hope to share some exciting news of our future plans in the next newsletter.
Stay tuned!
