Spring is the time of year for renewal. It’s also an ideal occasion to revitalize your outdoor signage.
Complete new signage, updated graphics, or just a good old-fashioned cleaning may do the trick. As a business owner, you might think that your sign is fine just the way it is. Fair weather in April presents the perfect opportunity to look at your sign through the eyes of someone new.
- Is your sign in good overall condition or does it look like it could use some tlc? Remember, your sign is a reflection of your business, and also your first chance to make an impression with potential clients.
- Have you refreshed your brand colors or logo? If your brand has evolved, then your sign should reflect your new image.
- Are you offering new products or services? An electronic message center may benefit your business by advertising to passers-by.
When it comes down to it, if your sign is cluttered, too small, outdated or doesn’t attract attention, then it may be time to let us help you with some new ideas.
So, what happens when you’ve inspected your sign, and it’s in good condition but has an overall dingy appearance? Sign maintenance is most likely the problem in this situation. Most signs can be carefully power washed with low pressure and warm water. Just be sure to cut the power to the sign and let it dry off prior to restoring power. After cleaning, you’ll want to apply a good layer of spider or insect repellent to keep the pests from moving in. Another issue arises when signs show hard water stains from sprinkler systems. Most of these stains can be removed with a good treatment of CLR. Just be sure to wet the sign down prior to applying the CLR to prevent streaking.
