If you’ve worked on a project with Kirk, you know he brings a unique blend of technical skill and creative thinking to the table. Though his role focuses on engineering, Kirk’s creative roots run deep—making him an incredible asset when it comes to complex, custom signage that pushes the boundaries.
Kirk says one of the most rewarding parts of his job is seeing a project come to life from concept to installation. “There’s a real sense of accomplishment watching something go from a rough design idea to a finished, installed sign,” he says. And when it comes to tackling engineering challenges, Kirk’s all in.
One project that stands out for him? Countryside Transportation. “Our design team nailed the client’s vision, and the project had everything—dimensional elements, interesting angles, unique lighting. It was a fun puzzle to solve from an engineering standpoint. Our fabrication team crushed it, as always.”
Outside of work, Kirk is just as energized. He’s into endurance sports, motorcycles, and just about anything outdoors. But his favorite title? Grandpa. “Time with my grandkids is hard to beat,” he shares.
Kirk is a proud Northern Michigan resident, and it shows. “I love that when I step outside, everything I enjoy is right here—the lakes, the woods, the dunes. The people here are amazing, too. I’m reminded every day how blessed I am to live on the Best Coast.”
