Andy’s of Ludington was built to give people plenty of reasons to stay awhile.

Across three levels, guests can catch live music or comedy, try a golf simulator, gather in a private dining room, or head to the rooftop terrace. For Pro Image Design, the challenge was to create signage with the same energy as the experience inside.

Andy Riemer of Riemer Hospitality wanted the new space to make a strong impression while reflecting his investment in the Ludington community. Our work grew to include illuminated exterior signs, interior signage and wayfinding, and decorative treatments throughout the building and on the rooftop.

The designs build on Andy’s existing logo. Brighter colors bring contrast to the building’s neutral finishes, while frosted, step-routed acrylic gives the circular signs and vertical letters a distinctive halo effect. That acrylic does more than look good: it diffuses the light and helps support the signs. Each piece had to balance appearance with the weight and mounting needs of its location.

The largest feature is a 38-foot illuminated sound meter display along the rooftop parapet. Built in five sections, it connects to a continuous frame secured with custom formed brackets. The team also engineered mounting solutions for letters on the curved canopy and signs attached to the brick walls. Much of that support is hidden from view, allowing the finished signs to take center stage.

There’s plenty happening behind the glow, too. Electrical boxes on multiple levels house the power supplies and controls that send color and animation instructions to the signs. Addressable RGB LEDs give Andy’s control over individual lights, so the displays can change with the atmosphere of the venue.

Installing a project of this scale took coordination around street and sidewalk access, mounting surfaces, and electrical routes. The result is a welcome that starts outside and carries through the building—giving guests a glimpse of the food, drinks, sports, and entertainment waiting inside.
