Grayling High School has a new entrance sign that can’t be missed! The impressive 16’ tall freestanding sign features a contour cabinet and channels along with a 10mm Watchfire electronic message center, not to mention a sweet design.

PID was initially approached back in 2021 to look over the school’s previous sign and brainstorm ideas for a new one. Concepts were designed and time marched on. In the meantime, funding efforts took off. Fast forward to 2023, and we hopped back on the project. Designs were reworked and approved, our sign engineers took over, construction began and the sign came to fruition.

Along the course of the project, our production team met a few challenges. Two levels of channel letters presented new styles of fabrication methods for contour signage. Once built, the finished sign was too tall to travel on the road, and had to be disassembled for delivery, and then reassembled on-site for installation. Strategy and teamwork prevailed, ensuing a successful build and installation.

The end result is a fantastic welcome to all who visit the high school. Student and sporting events can now easily be shared in real-time. It goes without saying that students and faculty alike are excited about their new image.
