In December, we celebrated our team and another successful year which we are so grateful for. Every year a new location is chosen for dinner and an overnight stay. Shanty Creek Resort was our host this time, and we were fortunate that all staff, plus their significant others, were in attendance. Even our summer interns were able to make it.
In addition to an excellent meal and drinks, each year Alan and Tara generously bring gifts for everyone which are traditionally distributed in some version of a white elephant stealing game. It’s a ton of laughs, and although Alan and Tara claim to get the most enjoyment out this tradition, everyone is a winner and goes home with something nice. This year, after the meal and white elephant gift fun, some opted to hang out at the resort bar while others chose to jump on a pre-arranged party bus that took them into downtown Bellaire to try out some local barrooms. No matter where everyone ended up by the end of the evening, all agreed it was a fabulous night of food, drinks, presents, and socializing.
It is always nice to spend some time together outside of work in a relaxing atmosphere. We’ve already started planning and looking forward to the 2023 celebration!
